Last Thursday, one of our readers donated $360 to UNHCR - for the second time. To top it all off, he asked me to keep his name anonymous to keep up the spirit of genuine charity.
Donations are pinging in from all directions. For context, I’m spending about an hour each day trying to thank people for their support. Many, many people are helping, and that’s something we should all be proud of.
And yet, 16 children were killed in Ukraine last Monday. Many were crushed as they were hit by missiles three times their size. After that, the reports became too frequent - too common to reliably count. We can’t wait, because we have to fight for a better future.
Help doesn’t mean money. It means caring enough about someone to give them your time, your attention - anything. This is just the beginning. Now’s the time to be ahead of the curve, because that’s who we are.
