Welcome to Re: Life 👋 !
I’m Aaryan - currently a freshman at Stanford diving headfirst into a world of biology, hardware, and mild sleep deprivation.
You’ve just stumbled on the weird corner of the internet where I chronicle my life. In every post, I share three quick updates from my life, two useful resources for you, and one idea to reflect on for the week.
Let’s begin.
Three Speedy Updates ⚡️
> Making the most of my last few weeks of freshman year. Lately, I’ve been spending more time exploring campus, reading, and getting up to shenanigans with friends. This has been a wonderful time, and we’re just getting started!
> Expanded phagebase.com to include over 500 viruses that researchers around the world can access. To our knowledge, this makes it the largest database of its kind!
(On that note, I owe a huge thanks to Aliyan Bodhwani and Ashna Nirula for helping me compile this repository — both of you are incredible!)
> Training at Stanford Chem-H to learn fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC). Soon enough, this will let me purify proteins and viruses to clinical grade, which is incredibly important when formulating therapeutics.
Two Fun Resources 🎉

One Big Idea 🧠
Investor Paul Graham on resolving inner conflict:
“If you’re trying to choose between two theories and one gives you an excuse for being lazy, the other one is probably right.”
